: The Assembly’s Committee on Estimates under the chairmanship of UDP legislator from Nongpoh Mayralborn Syiem on Wednesday held an interactive meeting with the Rajasthan Assembly Committee on Estimates at Jaipur as part of its study tour.

The meeting was aimed at exchanging insights and best practices related to the functioning and procedures of the respective Committees.

Discussions focused on enhancing financial oversight, strengthening administrative reforms, and improving mechanisms for monitoring government expenditure. Both Committees also shared experiences on the role of legislative bodies in ensuring accountability and transparency in governance.

The Meghalaya delegation also comprised Miani D. Shira, Remington G. Momin, Damanbait Lamare, and Gabriel Wahlang.
