KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Dolly Parton’s sister attempted to clarify remarks she made concerning the Tennessee icon's health, writing Tuesday night on Facebook that she "didn't mean to scare anyone" with an earlier post.

Freida Parton, earlier that day, had said her sister "hasn't been feeling her best lately," sparking concern among fans. After all, Dolly had announced in late September that she needed to postpone some of her upcoming concert dates amid "health challenges."

Freida's initial post on Tuesday, Oct. 7 had asked her fans "to be prayer warriors and pray with me."

“She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!” Freida wrote.
