Weather maps have revealed that 18 counties across the UK could hit by a flurry of snow.

As we continue through autumn and winter is on the horizon, the temperature is getting colder.

Conditions have been mild through August, with the country even enjoying the odd sunny spell.

However weather maps from WX Charts have turned purple later this month, indicating the arrival of snow.

Around 2cm of snow has been forecasted to arrive in Staffordshire , Shropshire and Cheshire on Friday, October 24.
