We’ve all been there: you’re in a traffic jam with hundreds of other irritated motorists and all you can hear is the sound of frustrated car horns.

However did you know that there are actually several situations where it is illegal to use your horn?

The Highway Code states that the car horn shouldn’t be used in anger or annoyance – and there are a set series of scenarios in which you are allowed to use it, reports MirrorOnline.

Under Rule 112 of the Code, you can only use the horn while your car is in motion.

This means it is against the law to use your horn while stationary.

The Code also says that
