Is there enough evidence to advance the case against a Farmington Hills police officer accused of sexually assaulting a police cadet?

A preliminary exam is rescheduled to Nov. 20 in 52-1 District Court for Judge Travis Reeds to be presented with evidence and determine if probable cause exists to bind over the case against Michael Rybinski for possible trial in Oakland County Circuit Court.

Rybinski, 31, of WIxom, is charged with one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and three counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct for an alleged assault that reportedly happened outside of work on June 16.

The preliminary exam had previously been scheduled for Oct. 1.

Rybinski is on administrative leave, according to the Farmington Hills Police Department.
