OXFORD, Maine (WABI) - A seven-year-old girl was rescued from a burning camper in Oxford County Tuesday.

Investigators believe the fire may have been started by her three-year-old sibling who was playing with a lighter.

The fire broke out on Gore Road in Oxford shortly before 5 p.m.

Firefighters were able to rescue the seven-year-old girl and the fire was quickly put out.

She was taken a local hospital and later flown to a Portland hospital.

She is expected to survive.

Investigators believe her younger sibling got out of the camper on her own and got ahold of a lighter.

The investigation continues.
