It was standing room only at the Hadashville Civic Centre Tuesday night as residents of the Rural Municipality of Reynolds packed in for a public hearing on proposed updates to the municipality’s zoning bylaw, the rules that govern how land can be used for farming, building, or business.

Zoning Bylaw 04-2025, now tabled for further review, would replace the RM’s existing bylaw from 2014. The update aims to bring local regulations in line with Manitoba’s Planning Act, but many residents fear it could hand too much control to unelected staff.
