BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Slater Community Center will receive a $30,000 grant through the Tennessee Department of Disability and Aging (DDA), the Office of State Representative John Crawford announced on Wednesday.

The funds will reportedly be used to expand programming, improve facilities and strengthen services for older adults.

“Slater Community Center is an important gathering place that enriches the lives of older adults in our region,” Crawford said in a news release. “This investment will strengthen their ability to offer valuable services and ensure seniors have opportunities to stay active, engaged and connected.”
