A 41-year-old Edmonton man is facing impaired driving charges after a two-vehicle crash in Leduc County in June left two dead.
Just before 8:15 p.m. on June 28, officers from Thorsby and Breton responded to a report of a serious collision involving a Ram pick-up truck and Chevrolet Silverado on Highway 778 and Township Road 490 in Leduc County, RCMP said in a Tuesday news release.
Upon arrival, police and emergency crews located a 31-year-old Edmonton man and 30-year-old woman from Calmar dead on scene. Police say the 41-year-old male driver of the Dodge Ram truck was taken to hospital for further evaluation.
Investigators believe the driver of the Ram was heading westbound on Township Road 490 and failed to stop at an intersection and collided with the Silverado that was heading northb
