FREETOWN, Mass. (WPRI) — A Providence man has been sentenced to Massachusetts state prison for a head-on crash in Freetown that seriously injured another driver last year, according to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III.
Anthony Flores, 27, pleaded guilty on Sept. 25 to charges of operating under the influence causing serious bodily injury, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
The crash happened on South Main Street around 5:30 p.m. on April 20, 2024. Prosecutors said Flores was heading south when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with another car.
