KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A man charged after gunshots rang out near an apartment complex and athletic complex last year faced sentencing today.

Kaden Bowman, 24, of Dunbar, was found not guilty on two counts of wanton endangerment.

Bowman was one of three people facing charges after gunshots rang out near an apartment complex and athletic complex on May 19, 2024.

According to Kanawha County deputies, they arrived at the area of Smoot Avenue and King Street in Dunbar after a gunshot complaint.

Men accused of being involved in the incident were stopped by members of the Nitro Police Department near Martin Pointe and New Goff Mountain Road.

An AR-style rifle was found in the back of the vehicle and those inside the vehicle told officers a pistol was under the front seat of the car.
