CLARKSVILLE, Ind. —

A 23-year-old is dead after a crash in Clarksville.

According to Indiana State Police, there was a crash around 8:22 p.m. Tuesday on Brown Station Way near Lewis and Clark Parkway.

Police said the vehicle drifted across the fog line on the north side of the road, struck a raised curb, and continued west along the curb.

The vehicle then veered off the road into a ditch, where it hit a concrete culvert head-on.

The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, died shortly after emergency crews arrived.

He has been identified as Daniel Lee Wade Burns, of New Albany.

Police did not say what may have caused Burns to drift.
