Following the publication of my column last week, I enjoyed reading the commentary on The Canberra Times page where it was published.
However, I admit to having a quiet chuckle at being accused of being blinded by my apparent "lefty perspective", leaving me in the dark about "gritty economic truths."
I mean, there's only so much a person can fold into a 700-word column, but I fully acknowledge that it was perhaps worth a mention and I appreciate that the readers opened that dialogue with each other.
But, in addition to the depressing burden of economy politics, I have been pondering the "accusation" of being a "lefty" since it was levied at my door last week, and not for the first time.
