INDIANAPOLIS -- Vice President J.D. Vance is returning to Indianapolis.

Vance is expected to visit with Indiana Senate Republicans to continue the state's redistricting conversation on Friday, officials with the Indiana Senate Democrats, and an Indiana House lawmaker, confirmed with FOX59/CBS4 on Wednesday.

This comes after Vance met with Indiana Gov. Mike Braun and other Indiana officials in a closed-door meeting in early August. At the time, previous reports indicated that the group "discussed a number of issues," including redistricting.

Later that month, around 50 Indiana state Republicans traveled to Washington D.C. to continue the conversation surrounding redistricting. According to previous reports, Vance made a case at that time to lawmakers for Indiana to redistrict congression
