ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A new outdoor play exhibit at the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum is closer to reality after officials broke ground on a new outdoor playscape on Wednesday.
Once the Outdoor Balloon Adventure space is complete, guests of all ages will get the opportunity to walk through a half-inflated hot air balloon, test their skills at competitive ballooning, and step inside the capsule of a gas balloon.
"It's also for the children and all of us, because we don't get enough time in our lives to play. And it's such a critical, important thing all the time, but especially now that we have these opportunities to just have fun and explore and learn about this magic of ballooning," said Balloon Museum Director Nan Masland.
