ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A jury has found a man guilty of sexually assaulting a teenage girl and attacking her when she didn't comply. Police say in 2024, Bryant Anyangwe met a 16-year-old girl and her friend in Downtown Albuquerque.

He then took them both to his apartment and raped the girl. Court documents say that when he realized they wouldn't comply with his sexual advances anymore, he brutally attacked her and her friend.

The victim's friend stabbed Anyangwe, allowing them to get away. Anyangwe was on a GPS monitor on a separate rape case at the time of this crime. On Friday, he was found guilty of criminal sexual contact of a minor and multiple other charges.
