VALLEY CENTER, Kan. (KSNW) — City officials are alerting drivers to potential delays as several railroad crossings will be closed for repair next week.

The closures will allow the railroad company to do track maintenance and make improvements, according to a news release from the City of Valley Center.

The following crossings will be closed from Monday, Oct. 13, through Friday, Oct. 17. • W. 93rd Street • 5th Street • 2nd Street • Main Street • Meridian Avenue • Ford Street • W. 69th Street • Seneca Street • W. 61st Street

Detours will be marked, and drivers should plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time to avoid delays, the city says. Updates on progress will be available at www.valleycenterks.gov.
