A house fire in Standish claimed the life of the family dog.

Standish, Maine House Fire Claims the Life of a Dog

The fire at 2 Deerfield Drive was reported to the Standish Fire Department at approximately 8:59 pm on Tuesday.

No people were hurt in the blaze, but one dog died in the fire.

Standish, Maine House Fire Started Near a Generator

According to the Maine Fire Marshal's Office, fire crews saw heavy fire showing from three sides of the house when they arrived at the scene. Three people were home at the time of the fire, but were able to evacuate safely.
