NEWBERG TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies arrested two men in connection with a stabbing and truck theft in Newberg Township near Marcellus Wednesday, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 6 a.m., deputies responded to a 911 call from a man who said he had been stabbed and had his truck stolen near Patterson Hill Road and Mann Street. At the scene, the man told deputies that he had been driving with two other men before one stabbed him and they both stole his truck.

He was taken to a hospital, where he is now in stable condition, according to deputies.

Officers later found the truck and arrested two suspects who are now awaiting arraignment.
