Zach Bryan is responding to the backlash over his song "Bad News," which some listeners claim is critical of ICE.

The country music star, 29, wrote in a message Oct. 8 in his Instagram stories that those who are trying to use the song “as a weapon” are proving how “devastatingly divided” the United States has become.

Bryan shared a portion of "Bad News" on Instagram on Oct. 3, captioning his post "the fading of the red white and blue."

In the song, Bryan seemingly addresses President Donald Trump’s immigration raids, singing, "ICE is gonna come bust down your door / try to build a house no one builds no more / but I got a telephone / kids are all scared and all alone.”
