New Delhi: In a major boost, tennis players involved in doping or corruption investigations can now get free legal help, confidential counselling, or financial assistance to test products they’ve consumed that might have led to a positive drug test. The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) announced on Wednesday that a trial program will begin immediately and will be reviewed after next year.

A player can get aid of up to USD 5,000 for a lab accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to get a medicine or a supplement examined for contamination, or the same amount for checking possible sources of contaminated meat, which is a frequent explanation for failed doping tests in sports.
