New Delhi: The soaring heat, rising temperature and the exhaustion from playing in such gruelling conditions have seen multiple players struggle in the ongoing Shanghai Master and Wuhan Open in China. Several top tennis player s from across the globe are in action in the two tournaments, which are taking place just 500 miles apart from each other in China.

However, they have found it difficult to play in the gruelling conditions. With the temperatures rising up to 34 °C and humidity at its peak, several players have needed medical attention midway through their matches. Some even retired, while others have dealt with issues such as heat stroke and severe on-court stress.
