The lone candidate running for a Warren County Board of Supervisors seat will take the seat a few months early as an appointee.

Chairman Jerome K. “Jay” Butler said at the board’s meeting on Tuesday that members chose Planning Commission Vice Chairman Hugh B. Henry to serve as the Fork District supervisor to fill the unexpired term ending Dec. 31. Vice Chairman John W. Stanmeyer and supervisors Cheryl L. Cullers and Richard A. Jamieson also were at the meeting. Members intend to make the appointment at their next meeting, Butler said. Former Supervisor Vicky L. Cook resigned from the board last month citing personal obligations.
