MARSHALL COUNTY, Minn. — A Red Lake County woman pleaded not guilty to a felony theft charge Tuesday, Oct. 7, in Marshall County.

Hollie Louise Baker-Walseth, 78, is accused of stealing a little more than $290,000 from her then-boyfriend, who has dementia, according to a probable cause statement filed in the case.

Concerned parties contacted law enforcement in January, sharing their suspicions that Baker-Walseth had been stealing from her boyfriend for the past couple of years.

Baker-Walseth was her boyfriend's power of attorney at the time and could access his money, but he told law enforcement many transactions in his bank account were unauthorized, the statement said.
