Charles Bareis, MD, has been appointed president of MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Ill., part of Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola Medicine. Dr. Bareis will continue to serve as chief medical officer, a role he has held since 2006, according to an Oct. 7 LinkedIn post from Loyola Medicine. He joined the hospital as an internist in 1992.
