TRIBUTES and donations are pouring in to help the devastated family of a teenager who drowned in a Tamworth river this week.

Locals are rallying around the family of Klo Doh Say Dream who tragically lost his life in the Peel River, near the Paradise Bridge area, during a family gathering on Monday, October 6.

The 15-year-old is being remembered as "a bright and kind teenager" who had not long started school at Oxley High School.

The teenager and his family had only been in Australia for six weeks after arriving from the Mae La Oon Refugee Camp in Thailand.

Tamworth locals Sarah Attwell and Nicole Sankey have organised a GoFundMe donation fund in the wake of the tragedy to help the devastated family.
