Children as young as 10 are taking and sharing photos of others without their consent, according to a national study released this week.
Findings published by the Australian Institute of Criminology on Monday show that about 11 per cent of image-based sexual abuse offenders were aged just 10 to 15 years, with most offenders aged 16 years or older and male.
University of Tasmania senior lecturer Dr Joel Scanlan said the findings were consistent with reports he had received from schools and law enforcement.
