SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A chair in the corner of the Dapper Devil Barbershop in Scottsdale is filled with flowers, candles and photographs of the barber who once stood over it.

Gustavo "Goose" Gonzalez, 38, was killed in a tragic attack by a stranger on Sept. 26.

“We’re broken, and it’s because we don’t have our brother here," James Lenstrohm said.

Lenstrohm, the owner of Dapper Devil, hired Gonzalez fresh out of the All American Barber Academy about six years ago. He told 12News that Gonzalez instantly became family.

“As a barber, yeah, I mean the sky was the limit. He was just accelerating and was phenomenal. As a person, he was Goose," Lenstrohm said.
