TOLEDO, Ohio — A man shot by police Tuesday morning in south Toledo has died from his injuries, according to the Lucas County Coroner's Office.
The coroner's office identified the man as 22-year-old Zachary Reed. The coroner's office said Reed was declared dead "several hours later" after being shot in a parking lot on Airport Highway. The death was ruled a homicide from "multiple firearm injuries."
According to Toledo police, officers met with a complainant around 7:05 a.m. at the Scott Park District Station, who reported that he needed help with removing an armed person from his apartment. Police said the complainant also said he believed the person had a warrant for robbery.
