QUINCY (WGEM) - City officials announced Wednesday that the northeast portion of the intersection at North 24th and Broadway streets would close at 6 a.m. Thursday.

Northbound traffic at the intersection will not be allowed to continue straight across Broadway to the north.

Southbound traffic will not be allowed to turn left and go east.

Eastbound traffic will not be allowed to turn left and go north.

Westbound traffic will not be allowed to turn right and go north.

The closure will last through 5 p.m. Friday.

According to city officials, the closure is necessary to allow workers to decommission the old water main located below the intersection.
