SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Pacolet man for digital child sex abuse on Wednesday.

Deputies said that 34-year-old Jordan Riley Cardinal was arrested following an investigation into the distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on the Kik messaging application.

Investigators said they searched Cardinal’s home, where he admitted to operating multiple Kik accounts used to seek, trade and distribute CSAM on Wednesday.

Cardinal has been charged with 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He is currently being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Facility.
