ELYRIA, Ohio — The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday a $1,000 donation from Partners with Paws to support the ongoing care, training and equipment needs of its six K-9s currently serving the community.
The funds were presented following the annual Cause for Paws Car Show in Vermilion. At the event, the Sheriff’s K-9s and their handlers demonstrated narcotics detection skills, giving attendees a firsthand look at the dogs’ training and capabilities. All proceeds from the car show’s 50/50 raffle were donated to the K-9 Unit.
