Edmonton police say there were 11 recorded shootings in September.

EPS says that this is an increase from recorded shootings in August, which had only ten.

Additionally, year-to-date shootings have increased by 11 per cent — 102 up from 92 — compared to this time last year.

EPS says of the 11 reported shootings, nine are believed to have been targeted, while five resulted in injuries. Additionally, no deaths were reported.
