JUNEAU COUNTY, Wis. (WMTV) - Almost 400 animals were rescued over the weekend in Juneau County after reports of alleged animal neglect .

Wednesday, Founder of Rocky and Rusty’s Redemption Rescue Alexis Schaffer talked about her experience as a rescue in the same county as the property where the animals were taken from.

“Its been a very long and tiring past few days and with not a lot of sleep but we are making it happen,” said Schaffer.

Schaffer said she took around 250 of the 393 animals.

“it was stressful, we reached out to our rescue partners and the Sheriff’s office also put out plea for help,” said Schaffer.
