TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Cody’s Friends and Saddlebrooke Winds and Strings are mourning the death of one of their longtime members.

74-year-old Sandy Mader died in a three-vehicle car crash on Oracle Road on Oct. 3. Mader had just celebrated her 74th birthday when she was hit by another vehicle that allegedly ran a red light.

Cassandra Lee, of Green Valley, was arrested on a manslaughter charge in connection with the crash, and investigators said she may have been texting.
