JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. - A minor was seriously injured in car collision, involving a Sheriff's Office SWAT vehicle, on Highway 67 near Farmington Wednesday.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, the SWAT vehicle was carrying deputies at the time of the crash. A helicopter airlifted the minor to the hospital, officials say.

"Our prayers are with that young person and their family tonight," the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office wrote on social media.

The deputies inside the SWAT vehicle--who were returning from a training--sustained no injuries. Details surrounding what led to the crash is limited at this time.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
