WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. - A caregiver at Evertrue Laclede Groves Senior Community in Webster Groves has been accused of stealing from residents, using a stolen key card to access multiple areas of the complex.

Carolina Roberts, 31, a private-care duty provider, is facing felony charges for first-degree burglary and stealing $750 or more after allegedly slipping through unlocked doors and taking cash and jewelry from residents.

Evertrue Laclede Groves confirmed that Roberts was hired by a resident in independent living and had passed a background check before the thefts occurred.

The investigation began on September 30th when a resident reported seeing a woman enter her home through an unlocked door. The woman claimed she had the wrong address, but after she left, the resident noticed money
