OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Deputy Devon Miller sat down for an interview on Wednesday about how a dog saved an elderly woman.
Deputy Miller responded to a call from a man about his missing wife. The man told Deputy Miller that she normally takes the dog on a walk and is back within 10 to 15 minutes, but she had been gone more than an hour.
While out trying to look for the woman, the dog, Eeyore, ran up to Miller's patrol car and guided her towards his grandmother, who had fallen on a sidewalk.
"I was really worried at the start of the call because it was nighttime and the area's somewhat wooded, but when [Eeyore] ran up to my car, I got really excited," said Miller. "I was like, 'Oh, maybe he can lead me to her.' I've seen movies where it happens, so
