MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — A man was arrested and charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of his friend, who was found badly injured and lying in the middle of Moffett Road nearly two weeks ago.

Mobile County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mark Flores Jr. on Tuesday afternoon. Flores is accused of the manslaughter of 33-year-old Matthew Wiggins. Wiggins’ father, Michael Wiggins, said his son and Flores had been friends and coworkers at Austal for about a year. “I knew who he went out with that night, you know, but I didn’t know he was involved in it until the sheriff called me yesterday,” said Wiggins.
