AURORA, Colo. (KKTV) - The Aurora Police Department (APD) shared on Wednesday that one of its sergeants, a School Resource Officer supervisor, had been arrested by the FBI on federal charges related to online sexual exploitation of a child.
APD said Sergeant Aaron Bunch was immediately placed on unpaid administrative leave. According to the department, the charges involve the exchange of child exploitation material via the internet.
At this point in time, APD said “there is no evidence that any students or children within Aurora Public Schools, the Cherry Creek School District, or the Aurora Community were impacted or victimized.” The superintendents of both school districts are aware of the situation, and police said they are working with the department to “ensure transparency and the c
