FLAT ROCK – Janessa Glover’s 24-year-old daughter, Jaqueline Glover, has a genetic disorder called Dravet’s Syndrome, a “catastrophic” form of epilepsy and lives in a residential facility where she can get the 24-hour nursing care she needs.
Reductions in North Carolina Medicaid, which went into effect Oct. 1, cut rates for some long-term care providers by 10% , which North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Devdutta “Dev” Sangvai has said could hurt patient care, according to previous Citizen Times reporting.
