MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Two people, including a Dane County Sheriff’s Office deputy, were taken to the hospital after a house fire on Wednesday in the Town of Dunn, county officials said.
Around 4:24 p.m., Oregon and Stoughton fire and EMS crews and Dane County deputies responded to a house completely on fire.
One of the homeowners was able to escape and call 911, but the other was still inside the home.
A deputy was able to find the person inside and get them out safely. All pets made it out of the fire, officials added.
One of the homeowners and a deputy were taken to nearby hospitals and are expected to be OK.
Fire officials are still looking into the cause of the fire but do not believe it is suspicious.
