MT. OLIVET, Ky (WKYT) - A Kentucky sheriff is facing multiple calls to resign after he was recently arrested on his third DUI charge in less than two years.
Robertson County Sheriff Terry Gray’s arrest Tuesday night is prompting calls for his resignation from Governor Andy Beshear and law enforcement officials across Kentucky.
Mason County Sheriff Ryan Swolsky arrested Gray after observing him driving 110 mph with lights and sirens activated without justification.
“There was no reason for him to be running lights and sirens,” Swolsky said. “Obviously could smell the odor of alcoholic beverage on his person. Proceeded to do a DUI investigation from there.”
The arrest citation states Gray registered a blood alcohol content of 0.226, nearly three times Kentucky’s legal limit of 0.08. Pol
