WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Travelers at Wichita’s airport are being impacted by nationwide flight delays.
As the government shutdown enters its second week, air traffic controllers, who aren’t getting paid, are calling out, which is causing staffing shortages.
Travelers out of Eisenhower National Airport in Wichita say their flights have been delayed. While some of these flights were delayed by just a few minutes, others say they saw delays of an hour or more.
These travelers also say they don’t plan on flying until the shortage ends.
“I might have to get a whole new flight,” said Venicia, who is flying home to Mississippi. “I’ve been here a while, and I just wanna go home.”
Venicia also says she saw the price of her flight go up.
Within the last 48 hours, delays at major airports in Bos
