Three members of a REACH Air Medical Services crew remain hospitalized after a helicopter crash in Sacramento, including flight nurse Suzie Smith, who is in critical and unstable condition at UC Davis Hospital. Shasta County Supervisor Corkey Harmon, a longtime family friend, says Smith is in a coma but continues to fight for her life. Known for her humanitarian medical missions and years of service, Smith is described as a cornerstone of her community. A vigil was held in her hometown of Palo Cedro, where friends and family continue to pray for her recovery.
