ANTRIM TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Two state police troopers were shot while responding to a call in south-central Pennsylvania on Wednesday evening.

It happened in the area of Interstate 81 southbound at Exit 3 in Antrim Township, Franklin County.

The troopers were shot during an exchange of gunfire, police said, and were taken to local hospitals.

One of the suspects was also shot, police said.

The conditions of those involved were not released.

State police did not immediately offer details about the nature of the incident, saying more details will be released later.

There is currently no threat to the public, police said.

In a statement posted to social media, Gov. Josh Shapiro said he and First Lady Lori Shapiro are praying for the troopers.
