MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - There will soon be a pop of color at the Madison Public Market.

Madison city officials announced on Monday, several murals and installations will be put up inside and outside at the market.

The art is meant to reflect the diverse voices, histories and cultures in the community.

Starting this week, crews will work to put several exterior works which include the following:

Elizah Leonard by Tom Jones

Jones, who is a UW-Madison photography professor, photographed Leonard wearing this dance shawl, made by her mom. Her grandfather crafted her beaded necklace and earrings. Jones finished off his piece by sewing beads, rhinestones and shells directly onto the print and took a photo of his final piece. That photo will be reproduced and will hang along outside of market
