A global manufacturer of electronic and mechanical products is expected to save about $2.9 million on taxes over the next 10 years on its planned facility in Allen County.

Seojin Global Inc. officials Wednesday asked Allen County Council for three phase ins: a 10-year agreement for real property taxes; seven-year for personal property taxes and a one-year cut for special tooling personal property taxes. Seojin will save about half of the nearly $6 million in taxes it would pay without the agreement.

The company that works with telecom, automotive and other products that require electronic systems plans to use a 150,000-square-foot shell building at 4322 Hitzfield Court for energy storage component assembly.
