A Queensland man who allegedly posted online his intention to kill Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been refused bail as details of the threats were revealed in court.
It is alleged Norman Dean Lake, 40, posted “mark my words I will assassinate the Australian prime minister” on his Facebook account on September 19.
He is also alleged to have posted other comments declaring his intentions and changed his profile picture to an image of him looking through the scope of a rifle.

The court was told the photo was taken while Lake was taking part in an Australian Defence Force pathway course 15 years ago when he was trained to use the weapon.
