WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- 25-year-old Javian Adams, who is accused of shooting and killing his parents in Waterbury on Monday, appeared in court for arraignment on Wednesday.
Adams was originally arrested by Watertown Police Department officers in relation to a home invasion that took place after the shooting in Waterbury.
"Within an hour of locating the suspect, we had officers who had knowledge of the incident in Waterbury," Watertown Police Deputy Chief Renee Dominguez said.
Watertown officers notified the Waterbury Police Department about the arrest, giving them time to gather evidence while their suspect was in custody.
"If we didn't have this knowledge, this individual would have been arrested for a burglary," Deputy Chief Dominguez said. "Would have potentially gone to court th
